Robotic Choreographies

Programming of Robotic Motion Sequences

A dynamic art installation titled „Sender“ by berlin-based artist group realities:united was presented as part of the light festival Urban Lights Ruhr in the german city of Bergkamen. Mounted on the parking deck of local Turmarkaden shopping center, a single-arm robot performs gestures of waving and signaling with different objects. „Sender“ is a performance with neither a beginning nor an end. The installation is situated in a no place, an abandoned parking lot on the roof of a hardly used shopping mall. ROK developed and programmed the robotic motion sequences to meet the artists design intention of a seemingly natural robotic behavior as close as possible.
